Eyes of the Vortex
By Fabster
October 26th, 2009
This happened October 26th, 2008 on a cloudy afternoon. I'm an aviation enthusiast and I was waiting for Iberia's Airbus A340 to arrive as I do many other days past 3pm but this particular afternoon, even if the sun was shinning, there was a big cloud blocking the way so I stayed alert for a cloud-breaking moment but never for one of this magnitude. It was breathtaking.
This photograph was taken with a Canon EOS 40D + EF 100-400mm L lens. I used Apple Aperture for editing and Adobe Photoshop CS3 for resizing.

This is my girlfriend's eye... Every time I look at her eyes I drown in them. They're just beautiful. This photo was made in Kos (Greece) 2005.
Bahamian Cloudbreak
August 30th, 2010
Taken on our return "cruise" home from Grand Bahama. There was a fierce thunderstorm surrounding the island and I'm surprised we managed to avoid it all. Colours obviously altered.
Canon EOS Rebel XSi (450D), Adobe Photoshop CS5.

I captured this lovely image while traveling through Skagit County, Washington on a day teetering between sun and rain. The final Photoshop file is a composite that weighs in at about two gigabytes!
