How can you even tell that's a boat? Eventually the thought crossed my mind, but initially I just thought that it was a rock sticking out through the water.

Thanks for all comments. Regarding the boat, I think it brings an extra dimension to the picture. Just like "paragon" said, it just reminds us that the time is still running.

Great picture! I used to live in Geiranger as a tour guide some time ago and resvisited last summer. The place constantly amazes me.

This looks EXACTLY like a scene from Lord of the Rings - The Fellowship of the Ring, when the boats are passing Argonath (the two huge statues). I did a rendering of this a long time ago, and the view/image is almost exactlythe same!

I was there this past July and it was simply breathtaking! This picture is amazing but no picture can do the Fjord justice.
